WEIGHT GAIN! NEED HELP!

hi everyone! I am new to this forum, but I need help desperately. I had a duodenal switch in 2009. I was 450 pounds. My lowest was 190 pounds. I am now 225. I have read a lot about how to lose the weight but I am not sure which method is the best. I have read to do a Weigh****chers type of diet. I have also read just to eat me and protein. I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Can somebody give me any tips on dieting to lose excess weight. As well as how long it took them. Any help is appreciated. Thank you so much!

I think most would advise to reduce carbs to under 50 a day, drink plenty of plain water and keep moving throughout the day. Walking is fine. I use protein shakes for most of my protein but that's just my choice.

Get back to the basics...high protein low carb. And avoid Weigh****chers.

For breakfast I had pepperoni and string cheese. 0 carbs. Lots of fat though. Is that ok? Also can you give me some good sNick and meal ideas? Thanks guys!

Back to basics of high protein, no low fat, and low carbs.

During the day I have greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and turkey and cheese snack sticks. If I want something different for lunch
maybe something like Wendy's chili or a burger without the bun.

For dinner any kind of meat with some vegetable side dish. I broil chicken thighs with some BBQ sauce, I cook a chicken or pork roast - that usually lasts me for a while. Johnsonville brats. Egg, tuna, or chicken salad. Rarely potatoes, usually only if I go to Boston Market. Even then it takes me at least 2 meals to eat the sides.

Good luck.

Just echoing what you have already heard.  The minute I put on a few pounds I go back to basics- high protein and low carbs. It works every time, my energy levels go up and I just feel better about myself.  Also, any exercise helps too.

One last thing.... have your vitamin levels checked at your doctor if you haven't done so recently.  I have had to adjust the amount of vitamins and change things up a bit over the years. (for example: switched to a vitamin D shot every 4 months since my D levels just weren't responding to the pill form)  When everything is in balance, my body is happy and responds quickly.

You can do this!  Your DS will work for you.  :)
