Feel like I'm losing slowly. What tweaks should I make?

Thanks for your kind response. I hate condiments so its not that. I think I need to amp up my exercise and perhaps eat mor protein or more fat. I have a duodenal switch and fat is our friend when it comes to weight loss ( I think this is different for sleeve folks) ; however, I eat very little fat mostly because some times fattier meats can upset my stomach. Thank you for your support

Anytime! I've hit a stall and I'm at 6 weeks so I know how you are feeling ....no matter what procedure was done ;)

Am I missing something here?  You're losing 20 pounds per month.  Why is that not a good thing to you?  That's more than half a pound a day.

Another thing:  there are no carbs in REAL cheese.  If there are carbs in your cheese, I believe you might be eating processed cheese, like Kraft American Cheese slices.  Go back to reading all your food labels.  Are you cooking from scratch?  Why are you not eating Greek Yogurt (full fat?).  And, you are NOT eating the fat-free versions of anything, are you?  Because if you are, you are absorbing every single calorie that is not a fat calorie.

Yes, I think perhaps I should have been more detailed. I lost 47lbs in 3 months-which met the 3 month goal; however, I only lost 7 lbs of that the third month and about 12 lbs of that the second month so it has slowed down already. See what I mean?

Not sure why you mentioned yogurt as I don't eat yogurt. I eat full fat cottage cheese though. Most of the cheeses I eat are 0 carbs; however, if the carb count is under 1 gram they don't have to list it so there could still be carbs. Boars head cheese has 1 gram of carb per oz and I do have that once in a while. I do monitor the carbs in everything I eat so its not that. Not eating fat free anything. I do Cook from scratch also- seafood, poultry and beef, eggs, chili etc-but for on the go or on days I'm tired I eat boars head roast beef, turkey and some cheese. I'm very disciplined with my food. I think this is more an exercise issue and perhaps I'm not getting in enough calories.

Also, try staying off the scale.  Concentrate on how you FEEL instead of an arbitrary number that seems to have the power to make you feel bad.  That's the exact reason why I threw my scale away decades ago and will not allow one in my house.

You are right. The whole numbers thing can get frustrating. Just trying to hit my percentages and make sure I'm on track.

I am only four months out.I am down almost 70lbs.I was going crazy getting on the scale getting off the scale. The scale can sometimes not be our friend. I eat mostly protein and some veggies some starches occasionally.

Don't look at the big number.Look at it in smaller goals. So it is not so overwhelming. We will get to where we need to be.Look at your NSVs.that you have accomplished.

Thanks for the support. You are right. I need to just recognize tha I will get there but yet it may be differently than how others get there.

One other thing I learned the hard way was that if you don't eat ENOUGH calories, you won't lose weight.  Early out, I was only able to eat 700 calories in a day.  Once I increased my calories, the weight couldn't jump off me fast enough.  Now, I know we're not supposed to be counting calories, but this is the one exception, I believe.  And on the topic of calories, they are NOT all created equal.  Fat calories have rights over carb calories for a DSer.  You WANT fat calories, you DON'T want carb calories.

In reading food labels, you want high protein, high fat, low carb.  Read the back of the string cheese brands, for instance.  The protein content varies widely between brands.  The low-fat versions are NOT your friends.  And if your cheese has carbs, it's processed.  Velveeta, Kraft, etc., are all processed cheese, full of carbs.  Sargento full fat string cheese is real cheese, full fat, about 7 grams protein per piece.  Excellent purse food, along with peanut butter packets, beef jerky and nuts.  Just be sure and chew your beef jerky (and nuts) really well early out.
