Feel like I'm losing slowly. What tweaks should I make?

I'm 3 months out and at time of surgery I weighed 292 and drs goal is 141 for me. So I'm 151 lbs overweight. At 3 months I was down 47lbs  post surgery-if you count the weight I lost the week just prior to surgery then it's 57 lbs down.  Just wondering if I need to tweak anything. This is a typical day for me:

Cottage cheese-11 grams p

Turkey and cheese-28 grams p

Cottage cheese- 11 g p

Turkey and cheese-28 p

protein shake -24 p

I usually get in 100 grams or more of protein daily.  I will usually cook steak or seafood during the week also. The above is just what I ate yesterday.

100+ grams of protein with a combo of food and protein shakes is perfect in my book. Increase your plain water, perhaps, and keep moving to keep the metabolism burning. Try not to compare yourself to others, keep doing what you're doing.

I had some swallowing problems with pills and food getting stuck in my esophagus so I was eating less food early on which hindered weight loss initially. I typically get in 60 oz of h2o daily but my downfall is exercise. I have only been walking an hour a few times a week so I think I need to  pick that up some now.

Do you know what would cause one to feel like pills are getting stuck in their esophagus ?  I put most my Vits in my shake to avoid this.

All I did was walk throughout the day in 10 minute snatches, and I need to get back to doing that as soon as this crazy winter weather lets up.

I don't know what might cause the stuck pills issue but putting them in your shakes is a perfect way to get your supplements in right now.

Holy cow. I figured it out. I wasn't tracking calories at all and I was on,y getting in 600-1000 cals per day. I was getting in the right amount of protein but not enough cals.  How do you add more calls to your food? Is there a calorie level that a 5'3 woman should hit with the ds?

Can you give me an idea of what type of high cal foods you are eating...

2% Greek yogurt is one of the higher calorie foods I eat and I graze on peanuts. To the plan Greek yogurt I add little blueberries and sweeten with Splenda.

is this all you eat, or are there any carbs slipping in?

kudos to you if this makes up your full diet as this is a great focus on the protein

I'm very strict with my eating so the only carbs I get in are the ones in cottage cheese, cheese and the ounce of high protein sugar free milk I put in my tea. My protein shakes also have some carbs-but not huge amts. I'm not really sure why I lose slower than some. I know some docs make their sleeves really small so perhaps some lose faster because of that or they may start out weighing more than me. Others add in their weight loss just prior to surgery also so i know its not wise to compare. That said, I just want to be successful. . Overall I hit the 2 month goal of 25%-actually hit 27%. At 3 months I was down 31%. And now at 13 weeks im down 33%.  I am going to up my exercise significantly and see if that helps because I know the slower weight loss is not because of carbs because I'm strict. I guess my body is going to do what it's gonna do and I have to respect that.

You are right on track. With VS you are supposed to lose..,on average...60% of total excess weight. So if you are down 31% already you are doing good! Try using the isopure zero carb protein drinks and powders.

Also are you using any condiments to the protein that could have sugar and carbs? I eat a lot of ground beef however I also use ketchup Which had a lot of sugar.

Keep up the good wor****ep the worrying for when you stall... Not for how slowly the scale goes down because down is good lol.
