Diagnostic Codes?

I got an updated lab order from my surgeon (thanks for the suggestion to go to him instead of my PCP, guys!). I am under the impression that my surgeon didn't want to order all these labs for me because they told me that if insurance does not cover all of them, they would not be writing a letter or anything like that to help me. I just told them that as long as the correct diagnostic codes are on the order, I should be fine. (I think their regular annual lab order is not as comprehensive as the list I requested.)

So now I'm a little worried about insurance coverage. These are the lab tests that are ordered, and the diagnostic codes that are checked off. Do you think I'm in the clear?

the codes look good tome . As long as they are deficiency or malabsorption codes, you should be good to go.

Malabsorption codes is what my Pcp has used for my labs for the last 4 years and insurance has always covered every one of them without a problem.

Are these all the ones that they missed? Goodness!

I also have on my script for labs:

DX: Post-Op Care V58.49; 579.8; 573.9; 280.0; 268.9; 264.1; 264.9; 265.1

It's just a list and not associated with anything specific.

Looks pretty much like my diagnoses codes so you should be good. Some insurances only cover the tests once to twice a year but it shouldn't cost much for what they don't cover. My first huge lab batch wasn't billed to my insurance for some reason so they sent me the full bill and it was only $121 for all of the labs. Once they actually billed my insurance they paid it all but it was nice to know how much I'd pay if I ever had to.
