What Vitamins to take ? and how many?
I have followed Vitalady's plan adjusted for my labs since 9 months post-op. I tried my surgeon's way for the first few months and gradually started going over to her. He approved me going to her plan totally at 9 months after watching my labs slip under his recommendations. I would start with her pre-packaged DS plan and then after some labs start coming in, make adjustments from there. I don't think what you're currently taken will be near enough and you could do damage to your bones and iron levels. www.vitalady.com

Google "Vitalady basic vitamin and mineral schedule," and select the www.gblcreations.com.
You can get her prepackaged DS regime, but it is pricey. I get my C, multis and calcium at Vitacost. I get everything else from Vitalady. And that's after I did some price comparisons.
I can't believe you aren't supplementing your calcium, A, and D, at a minimum! What about your iron? If you have been noncompliant for a while, you could be in big trouble. A deficiency in A can cause night blindness which is irreversible. You need to get on board with this asap. If you don't understand why you need to supplement, spend a few hours, maybe days, reading past threads here. You are in grave danger...but as I understand it, you are getting your labs done very soon. Start fully supplementing ASAP.
Hi there,
I'm a little confused. When did you have your DS? Was it really 2.5 years ago? If so, you should have some labs to give you an idea what you need in vitamins but the calcium and additional D is a must. Also additional iron if your labs show you need it.
I take calcium citrate - 1800mg split into 3 doses
multivitamin - 2
K1, K2, Zinc, copper, potassium, B12, magnesium, iron, vit c, dry forms of vitamin A,D, and E
and a B50 comples once a week.
I tweaked my list after labs at 6 months and 9 months.
I also think the gummies are just a bad idea for people with the DS.
