My first time posting for this but I hope it helps me, I'm always so worried I'm messing up. I've been eating a steak a day this week (chewed until liquid, tmi? It takes about an hour to get it down, or broken into two meals an hour or so apart) it's helped me a lot. Most meals I make are two large and end up being 2-3 'meals' but it works well for chasing toddlers around the house.
Got up late today (11am)
Breakfast - two fried eggs on a slice of 18 grain toast (was breakfast and lunch, 1.5 hours apart)
- 18g protein
Dinner - 130g steak with 2 tbsp of fried, thinly sliced onion, carrot, and a few peas. (Ate in three installments over 4 hours).
- 32g protein
1 liter 2% milk - 36g protein
600ml mint and green tea
1 liter water
vitamins-
2 complete multi
1 pre-natal
4 D (4000)
1 zinc (1000)
Synthroid
Taking what my doctor has advised, but going to start vita lady regime since I'm very worried ATM about malabsorption and my doctor is only testing 8 things. Fine on iron but low on D already.
I think working through a steak a day in small snacks is fine. Yeah, I can see that the vitamins the doc is advising are way too little. How about calcium citrate and iron? Any idea when he might want to add those? Scary, and you're smart.

I had been told to take 4 tums a day, but he said it wouldn't work now because of the Prevacid I'm on. So I need to switch over, I decided just to order the vita lady pack since I am clearly in over my head with little guidance other than OH.
He says my iron is good right now, and wanted to wait to make sure my stomach is settled first (because of the flu).
Im going to see if I can get my gp to do a proper blood test.
Iron can be tricky for some people. Just start it by taking one capsule a day the first week, add a second the next week and so forth until you're getting the full dose.
