You might try adding more fat to your diet to help with constipation issues. Also, if you're taking a calcium citrate tablet the fillers in them can casue problems. You might look for calcium citrate capsules.

I do that too! (donuts) When I really limit my carbs/gluten I get backed up too. Also, I've been on amoxicillin for a sinus infection and it's backing me up even worse! UuHhGGgGg I want to have a donut to get it flowing but I don't WANT to put the donut in my body. I know it'll cause me to binge on a dozen donuts, I don't want temptation like that. Anyways, I'm thinking what would help us is maybe a laxative? Gee, never thought I'd say that! I've had severe diarrhea since I had surgery in 2004 and I realized it was the gluten/dairy only maybe a couple years ago. Anyways, anyone else have suggestions?

Yep fat and Miralax help get things moving, but I do struggle myself trying to find a sweet spot as I end up swinging from having constipation to diarrea.  I thnk it's just trial and error 'til you find a dose that works for you.

I'm a newbie here so please forgive this dumb question .... What is a protein coffee and how is it made?

Thanks!!

Here you go.  : )

Protein Coffee

brew a pot of your favorite coffee - we like chocolate raspberry (you can also brew chai tea and use in place of coffee)

In a 20 oz blender bottle with wire ball, add 2 oz of heavy whipping cream and 2 oz of cool water, or 4 oz of half & half, a packet of Truvia or Splenda, a couple of dashes of cinnamon, and a heaping scoop of Syntrax Nectar vanilla protein powder.
Shake about 5 seconds to blend
Pour the protein slurry into a huge mug and fill to the top with coffee
Sir to blend and enjoy!

Always add hot liquid to cold protein slurry to keep the protein from clumping.

Always check the ingredients of a protein powder before you buy it to ensure the first ingredient listed is whey protein isolate. Don't trust the splashy label on the front.

THANK YOU!  I love coffee and thought maybe it would be off limits .... Gonna try this to help me get my protein in.  Warm tea is sitting much better with me these days than the cold protein shakes.

Thanks again-
