anti-depressants still work??

im on anti-depressants and im having surgery in 2 weeks, will they still absorb into my body?

Yes, partly, but possibly your doctor may have to adjust the dosage.

Pay close attention and let your psych know about the surgery coming.  They may need to adjust the dosage.  If you feel the least bit "off", let them know asap.

Yes.  You may need to change the dose or change to a regular release (as opposed to extended release) version of your med.  I take regular release effexor and it works well for me.  The most important thing is to listen to your body and let the psychiatrist know if there are any changes.
