I wowould think that as much as I use the restroom that I would be really losing but I'm not. All I think about is my next meal. Pls someone help.

You aren't feeling any restriction? You might mention this to your surgeon and see what size he made your sleeve. You shouldn't be able to eat full sized meals yet--not even close.

Eating full meals as early out as you are is highly unusual.  it may be that your nerves aren't healed yet and you cannot feel the restriction yet?  Just guessing here.  I've never heard of your surgeon so that brings up concern also.  It took me nearly 2 years before I could eat full meals (small servings)

At 6 months out, I could eat a 6 oz steak, and now at 9 months out, I can eat a 9 oz steak.  A little carbs, and I am in stomach ickiness.  That early out, you absolutely must also avoid sugars - they can increase cravings.  What are examples of what you are eating?  How many meals a day are you eating?  I find I am eating 6 meals a day, but 2 of them are just protein shakes.  If I eat too much, my nose starts running, because of the vagal nerve.  Do you get a similar effect?

If you are eating full meals all the time then you aren't "hungry" but head hunger is absolutely a real thing. Have you looked into help for food addiction? I swear after surgery the head game is the worst part. For me I got almost obsessive about painting my nails and it was a great replacer addiction - it helped to change my focus. Exercise is another good one. Good luck friend - I don't know if I am on target with the food addiction thing - but I remember feeling that way about food too. Good luck finding the solution!!!

Are you certain you had a DS? Your surgeon doesn't list it as a procedure he performs.

Can you post a detailed list of what you ate yesterday? Exact amounts? That would really help us help you.

I am not sure if you are a virgin DS or a revision DS, what I can tell you as a revision DS patient, I have not felt restriction....BUT my esophagus suffered permanent irreversible damage due to the severe damage the band caused me, my surgeon suspected this would happed before he revised me, but I have not had any problems since the revision, no vomiting, no waking up in the middle of the night almost aspirating on vomit, constant pain etc., but I also can't let my body tell me I am full, that is gone for me and it suck real bad.  I actually went in for the VSG but with my esophagus my surgeon said that would do nothing for me, yep he was right.  the day after surgery i was eating in the hospital, was never on liquids etc.  i can tell you what works for me...stay away from processed foods, sweets, stay away from fruit, breads, etc.  stick with fats, protein and low carb vegetables in that order, I also prepare my meals for work the night before, portioning out my breakfast and lunch, try to stay away from eating in between if you are eating a full amount, no need for snacks.   I truly understand, there are no free rides in life, and I struggle every day every meal...but you can do it...
