Just not into it...

I always kept in mind that by doing the diet, I am doing the best possible thing for myself by shrinking my liver. That's what they worry about... It gets in the way, while doing surgery, the smaller the better.... I knew it was in my best interest if I wanted the surgery to go well....

That is a good way of looking at it. Never considered it being in my best interest. Thanks for that insight, sometimes a different perspective helps to clarify the situation. I will use my best surgical interest to motivate me to do better with my liquid diet because I do not want any complications.

Geez... It is such an emotional journey anyway. I can understand it that you want to protect yourself from more
disappointment but try an recapture some of that excitement at this new journey.

I hope you soon will be waking up on the other side of the surgery. Good luck.

Thank you for the encouraging words but today I have fought the good fight by sleeping most of the day. It's not perfect but it's effective.

I agree to look at it as in your best interest for a good surgery. Outcome. Also.you know,it is not just "a week".it is a totL lifestyle change and this is the beginning of it. You want a good weight loss outcome and the best health you can have for the rest of your life? This is where it starts.

GL hang in there. We got. Your back.

I have looked at it as my best interest to have the best outcome. It feels like torture because my hunger hormone is still intact. After surgery I will have a tool to help me stay on track... I really think this is what makes it sooo much harder.

HollyKim said it best. this is where it starts. After your surgery, there will also be days when you aren't enthusiastic about doing what you need to do to maintain your health. Some people decide, after awhile, that taking all those vitamins every day is a drag and stop taking them. That approach endangers their health and their lives.

Start now! Ii completely understand how hard this has to be after going through it already and being cancelled, but it's just one of many challenges in your DS life. You can do this, and your health will be the better for it.

I know it i hard, I was on a 2 week pre op liquad diet that got extended due to my surgery being re scheduled, and did not cheat once. So you can do it!
