Weights not coming off

I had my DS on 12/18/2013 and so far I've only lost 22 pounds, which I'm grateful for, but the scale hasn't moved in several days. Is this normal? I believe I'm doing everything right. Just worried that maybe the surgery isn't working? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

That sounds pretty good as far as weight loss. 22 lbs in 16 days?

Totally normal.  Do what you are supposed to be doing as far as food and exercise goes and try weighing once a week.  ONLY once a week!

Please search here on OH for this subject. Almost everyone hits a stall at 2-3 weeks out. It's completely normal and you'll find lots and lots of posts asking the same thing. No need to worry.

And 22 pounds in 16 days is a whole lot. kiss How much did you expect to lose?

Thanks. I guess I was just used to seeing an improvement everyday and got worried. Also I'm still in the mashable food stage. Anybody have any food suggestions besides refried beans and mashed potatoes? Think the potatoes might also be stalling my loss?

I would think that scrambled eggs are soft enough -- and they have no carbs. I would stay away from the mashed potatoes, but that's just me.

Totally normal.  Week 3 stall is a right of passage for EVERYONE!!

Try cutting out the potatoes.  That will help some.  My staple during that phase was ricotta with a little marinara mixed in.  SOOO freaking good and I hate ricotta!!!!!  LOL!

Keep it up!!!  The scale will move eventually!

Totally normal.  You will not lose weight every day.  You will have periods of time where the scale doesn't move.  Most of us lose in a stair-step pattern.

And it concerns me that you say "I've -ONLY- lost 22 pounds" and "..worried the surgery isn't working".   You had surgery 2.5 weeks ago and lost 22 lbs....how does that equate to surgery not working?  When is the last time you lost 10lbs a week?  How much did you think you'd lose in 2.5 weeks?  50lbs?  Stay off the scale a while or you will make yourself nuts.
