Another Update, still is hospital

Well, I am still in the hospital and will be here at least through Monday.  They have me hooked up to TVM (which is food through my picc line) plus many other electrolytes and meds.  I was extremely malnourished and dehydrated when I came in and they have yet to come up with an actual cause. They said this is the hardest surgery recovery wise and some people have a harder / longer recovery period.  I AM feeling much better though.  Still no where near well, but since I felt like death it is a drastic improvement. I am now back on soft foods, so I have had some applesauce today. Hubby is bringing me chicken soup from my favorite place tomorrow. They will most likely send me home on TVM for a few weeks.  The Dr. said sometimes that helps to have you wake up and not feel so bad. This is certainly an interesting journey I am on...

I'm glad you're feeling at least somewhat better. It sounds like you are getting the care you need, even if no one knows what made you so sick to start with. I hope your improvement continues and you can go home soon.
