6 days out, and in pain. Is this normal?

I have a question. I'm 6 days out and I keep getting this sharp pain in my lower right abdomen (ovary area). I had it in the hospital, but they told me it was gas pain so I waited. I've been releasing the gas but the pain is still there. Does anyone know if this is normal? Has anyone else had this?

I had pain in my upper left abdomin for weeks... it would come and go ..it has finally resolved it self...but its always good to call and check n with your surgeon.

 

 

I didnt have it in the same spot you do, but I did have a pain right below my breast bone and to "my left", that lasted for about three months. The Dr. could never really say why, or what it was. It eventurally went away, but to this day I still wonder what it was. I even used to think did they leave something in there....lol. I remember there was another patient of the DS that came from my Dr.s office and she was climbing sand dunes a week after her surgery, and had no pain... That was not me! I had pain, and dizzy spells for quite awhile in the months after my surgery... I think everyone is just so different.. Sorry I know my story doesnt really answer your question.... Just know that your body has really been worked over, and your bound to have healing pains... Of course if it is really bothering you, you should check with your Dr. about it....
