It doesn't sound like anything to play with. You're calling your doc Monday morning, right?  Unless it gets worse this evening, then it's off to the ER. I would guess, big guess on my part, something along the lines of an obstruction or the beginnings of one. Another idea....do you still have your gallbladder?

no gallbladder. no appendix. the tough situation is that my wls surgeon retired. no one had taken over for him. I will have to see my pcp

I had similar symptoms several years back and thought it was something wrong with my stomach but turned out to be a strangulated intestine. My intestine was being pulled up into the hernia, strangulating it and when I would eat the pain would intensify. Regardless of what is causing the pain it isn't normal and you need to get it checked. I was vomiting and in a great deal of pain and thought I should just suffer thru but my family made me go to the ER and I ended up having emergency surgery while on vacation. Its nothing to mess with. It could be an ulcer but could also be something much more serious. If your pain gets any worse please go to the ER and let them check it out.

Good luck!

Sharon
