Time Most Definitely Flies!!!

Time has most definitely flown by. Next week on Thursday I will finally be switched. So people are overwhelmingly nervous but I'm just excited. I swear there is an extra spring in my step and a huge grin on my face! Although I'm doing my happy dance about my surgery specifically, I am hating this process right about now. I feel prepared and I'm at peace with everything.
But there is always drama right. My insurance got canceled somehow, but my surgery is approved. So today I spent the day trying to get it squared away. I'm really close I have a couple of things to submit tomorrow and all should be well. I have already been informed that it will be reinstated on the same day. WHEW!!! I had this nagging feeling that something would go wrong before my surgery and it did. I balled my eyes out earlier, threw myself a pity party, and then I pulled up my big girl panties to make things happen.
I will admit I am wore out from fighting my insurance. But I am one determined individual so I won't give up. Even in the midst of adversity. Things go wrong for me all the time, and nothing comes to me easily, but I am a fighter. So I will make the best of it with what I have. Sour lemons make SWEET lemonade!!!!
Any pre-op or post-op advice will be appreciated and absorbed! And please say a few prayers for me 1.) pray for insurance issues to dissipate, 2.) pray for continued peace of mind, 3.) pray for safety during and after surgery, 4.)pray for a speedy recovery. Thank you all for the support!
Swinging lizards and sending up prayers too. I hope everything works out.

I'm swinging critters for you!! ;-) I was worried pre-op as I was concerned that my surgeon may be taken ill or something like that - you know just crazy concerns like that so I KWIM.
My advice is take lip balm even if you don't normally use it as you won't be allowed much orally for the first day - not even water. I also recommend slip on footwear - slippers and shoes, as you won't be able to bend over early out (first couple of weeks).

How funny - my surgery is in 8 days, and I also am worried about something happening to my surgeon! :) I'm also afraid that when they take a look-see inside me that they'll decide only to do the sleeve. It's taken me 9 months to get to surgery and I'm just worried every day - but happy & excited as well. Holy cow!
