the buck wheat banana bread didnt cause a proble. Buckwheat is o seed ,not a grain,so it is not as much as a problem for. Me. I have been using coconut sugar which has a glycemic index of abut 35 so it doesn't cause the. Insulin spikes.ni just cannot use artificial sweeteners at all since my DS.

B two eggs with cheese 2 slices bacon, L tenderloin steak,S protein coffee,D mahi. Mahi n turnip greens,s string cheese.  Pro 98 carbs 13 sugar 6

i am finding that being able to leave off the carbs,my restriction is better. Took me two tries to eat all the bacon and eggs this am,and I have previously eaten them all in one go. I like getting my restriction.  Back.

Bla good just wasn't doing it for me today :( bla

breakfast: 2 breakfast sausage links

lunch: protein shake with unsweetened coconut/almond milk

lunch 2: most of a low carb wrap with turkey and laughing cow spreadable Swiss cheese

dinner: 2-3 oz homemade skillet steak

snack: forced down some protein crisps to get protein up to 80.

Vites: get er done!

i guess I did better than I thought now that I see it written down. It blows my mind having a dayn that I have to consciously have to make myself eat to get enough protein in. I hope food is my friend tomorrow! Bring on the turkey!!!

Hi MajorMom,

I'm having a hard time getting in all of my protein on a daily basis.  Can you tell me what your coffee protein recipe consists of?

Here you go.  : )

Protein Coffee

brew a pot of your favorite coffee - we like chocolate raspberry (you can also brew chai tea and use in place of coffee)

In a 20 oz blender bottle with wire ball, add 2 oz of heavy whipping cream and 2 oz of cool water, or 4 oz of half & half, a packet of Truvia or Splenda, a couple of dashes of cinnamon, and a heaping scoop of Syntrax Nectar vanilla protein powder.
Shake about 5 seconds to blend
Pour the protein slurry into a huge mug and fill to the top with coffee
Sir to blend and enjoy!

Always add hot liquid to cold protein slurry to keep the protein from clumping.

Always check the ingredients of a protein powder before you buy it to ensure the first ingredient listed is whey protein isolate. Don't trust the splashy label on the front.
