DS QUESTION

At this point, you're going to need a good reason, especially if you're trying to get insurance to pay.  "I settled on this because its all that was local" probably won't be enough, especially as close to your goal as you are.  You hardly qualify for wls anymore.  I suspect it will be a harad sell.

I had my DS in one surgery .  When it comes to  any surgery, you want to always "cut once", to reduce the shock to the body.

Unless there's a medical reason you can't have the full DS in one surgery, as close to goal as you are, your insurance may not approve it.  Many insurances allow for only one weight loss surgery per lifetime, if they cover it at all. Insurance is a funny thing, some approve the DS no matter what, others only approve if you are more than 50 pounds over your ideal weight, according to the standardized weight chart.

I would go for the full DS.  It takes a lot of effort to maintain, but once you have it, it's yours forever, and IMHO it's the most effective tool against morbid obesity there is!

The DS is *THE* solution to Severe Morbid Obesity!

Had mine done in one surgery.

I would do it in one surgery.  I did it that way for mine.  The reason I say do it all at once is your metabolism takes a hit every time you do WLS.  Especially if you do a surgery then gain it back and start all over again.
