THis is what I Found on a lab website. What I need to know is if Vitamin K, Transferrin, Zinc and Vitamin E are included in any of these tests maybe under a different name...Those are the only ones I am not seeing.
Women's 75 package 199.00
This is a discounted package of 75+ individual tests that would cost $431 if ordered separately from us (and $1,000 or more if paying retail prices). Note: if you have ordered this before, we have changed the package to include Iron/TIBC, Ferritin and Vitamin B12/Folate. This package includes:
- Comprehensive Health Profile
-
50 test results from these sub-panels (can vary because some tests are reflex). These are a basic set of tests ordered with physical exam:
- Complete Blood Count
- Metabolic Panel
- Lipid Panel
- Additional Chemistry tests
- Urinalysis, Complete
- 17 test results (can vary because some tests are reflex) Also ordered routinely with physical exam
- Thyroid Panel
- Thyroid function evaluation. 4 test results
- Cardio (high sensitivity) C-Reactive Protein
- Used to help evaluate risk for cardiovascular disease
- Hemoglobin A1c
- Diabetes screening & disease management
- Vitamin D
- Normal levels of this vitamin important for good health
- Vitamin B12 & Folate
- necessary for DNA synthesis and tissue and cellular repair
- Ferritin
- used to evaluate iron stores in the body
- Iron & TIBC
-
Too little iron can impair body functions

Prothrombin Time (PT) 39.00
The prothrombin time (PT) test measures how long it takes for a clot to form in a sample of blood.
_______________________________________________________
Vitamin A and Carotene 49.00
A combination of a low serum carotene level and a low vitamin A suggests inadequate vitamin A nutrition.

I think those three choices will cover everything on my list but I cannot find Zinc, Vit K or Vit E. They do not offer them separately either. Is there something I am missing in the women's 75 package that might cover those three things?
I hope that covers it all. That would make my labs so darn cheap and affordable.
THanks for any help you vets can give me.
This is the website I am using to to pick this stuff. http://www.healthonelabs.com
If anyone can find a cheaper way to get them all on from that website I would be grateful. My head hurts from trying to find a way to cover them all. LOL.
I've never seen those come out in my comprehensive panels. My dietitian orders them separately. I don't get the urinalysis or the thyroid, so I'm no help there.

If you had to order them separately, I would drop the Vit E one. I read here or on another forum that rarely is there a deficiency in Vit E.
See if there is a test for minerals in those packages. There should be one for Zinc, Mag, Copper, etc.
I did a search on the site for Vit K and nothing came up.
Have you thought about waiting till after January to do these tests? Since we have to have insurance, either through our employer or through the exchanges, I decided to wait till after I get my insurance to do this. Then it counts toward my deductable for the year.
Depending on your insurance plan and what you are eligible for, you may be able to get lab tests done at a regular doctor's office with insurance paying at least 60% of the costs.
What is the fine for not registering? Is it 100 dollars fine for not buying - period? No more costs, right?
I know what you mean about the costs of the plans. But have you looked at the bronze, or the cheapest plans they have? It won't cover much, and there will be a huge deductable... but it should be free. Is there such a plan?
Or is this just another tax on the working poor?
I figured out that the PT does a Vitamin K check and the Metabolic panel does a Potassium check. I will not worry about vit E. I found a magnesium and Zinc test at another place pretty cheap. All together I can get them for about 351.00 which is pretty cheap. So I will order them soon then. =)
Thanks ladies!!
I started looking at the online lab testing places. They all seem to use the same local blood draw places. Did you shop around for your tests and check pricing? What sites did you like, what sites will you use?
I'm surprised that blood can be mailed through the postal service.... How cool that we can do this. I also save the cost of seeing my doctor, which would cost another 140.00 just for him to order the tests.
I'm looking for an education on how this all works. Any tips and tricks you can pass on?
