10 months out...question for Vetters
The scale has not changed in about 1.5 months. Starting weight was 240. Now at 144 and 10 months out. Alot of weight in less than a year and I am totally happy with this weight. To be honest I was getting a little scared there for a while...I do not want to be 100 lbs. So, you guys think this is that this could possibly be the wt my doc has talked about......the weight in which your body stops at? Just wanting to ask you vetters since you guys have been at this place!
My DS has gone "dormant" before...but it eventually revs back up.
I can "awaken" it in a stall by combining simple carbs and sugar, with what I call the "Krispy Kreme Stall Breaker" - one glazed (actually any yeast raised glazed doughnut will work) with a coffee with heavy cream and sugar/artificial sweetener to taste.
It works for me, and it is a pleasant way to try a "fix" for a sleeping DS..
I don't think you're done yet. You might just need a tweak somewhere. Maybe you need to really make sure carbs aren't sneaking back. If that's not the case, the crispy cream trick is pretty cool, but it doesn't really work for me at this point, it may work for you though.

I started out at 240, and my DS slowed down at 6 months. It still works, but it takes months to lose now.
I eat more carbs now than I ever did, and I am losing weight again. Another vet told me to do low carb, then have a weekend of eating as many carbs as I want for 2 days. Then go back to low carb. It seems to shake up the metabolism, and I can lose again. If your stall continues, try this approach.
At 10 months out you probably still have different phases ahead of you. You were a lightweight so to speak so you may not drop significant weight but your body will still likely go thru changes. Not only did I lose weight for about 18 months my shape changed too. I think the entire process wasn't stabilized until about 2 years out. At times I looked thinner than other times at the same weight or sizes changed without weight changes. 144 sounds like a great weight to me. My advice would be to just focus on eating correctly, getting in your supplements, getting your labs done regularly and leave the rest to your body. I'm sure you are no longer obese so let your body decide where it wants to be comfortable. It's nice not to have to put effort into losing more weight.
