Missed some but the Doc ordered them for next week. I would appreciate any comments on what I did get done. Links are at the bottom.

Docs comments were - slightly anemic (low hematocrit and hemoglobin)but getting better since just after the surgery. My lab results document doesn't show the results right after surgery because I thought they would be skewed but maybe that is the right place to compare to? I doubled my iron and my dry D. Will check iron in 3 months. High B12 - is that an issue? Here are the links to current meds/vits and latest lab tests. When I am out of Iron I think Vitalady tender iron is my next purchase.

The labs scheduled for next week are Ferritin, Vit A and K, Magnesium, zinc, and copper.

I was ready for an argument but she was very reasonable. I tried to get them added to my original draw but the request got to her too late.

Your B12 is great and not to high. Closer to 2000 is actually a good thing.

But your Albumin is to low, eat plenty of eggs, that will bring it up

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I usually have egg salad once a week but I could easily have more eggs. They have never been a problem for me.

I agree with your approach to the dry D3.

I don't believe that increase of iron is going to be enough and it's important to take the right kind of iron. The cheap ferrous sulfate stuff isn't going to cut it. You want to take ferrous fumerate, carbonyl, heme, or polysaccharides. Vitalady recommends 300mg of carbonyl or a blend of carbonyl and polysaccharides. What worked for me was 300 mg of carbonyl (Vitalady's Tender iron) plus 2 tablets of heme iron (Proferrin ES snapped in two).

Your potassium is going in the wrong direction. You might want to ask what a good supplement dose might be. I'm taking 900mg a day under the watchful eye of my dietitian.

Your B12 is perfect.

You might want to ask to have B6 and B1 next time.

Add a couple more protein shakes a day.

I think that's it.  : )

Hi Gina,

I didn't catch the potassium in the wrong direction I'll check it out.

For the iron - I currently use Nature's Plus with C - the bottle says it is Iron as amino acid chelate. Any idea where that falls on your list? My next purchase is definitely Vitalady's tender iron and I will probably get the heme iron too,

I did add some protein shakes. I went from a single in the morning to a double scoop in the morning and another double in the afternoon. (Optimin nutrition 100% whey - 24 gr/scoop).

Thanks for your help. I'll remember about the B! and B6 for next time.
