Those of you who had a revision from Band to DS in one surgery, (also a hernia repair, if you had it!) how long did it last?

Thanks!

I had a revision from band to DS with a hernia repair. It took 4.5 hours and was done lap. However, he unfilled my band and yep I gained weight before surgery which gave hime less room to maneuver. If I had lost weight and reduced my abdominal fat he would have had more room to work and would have been quicker. HTH

My surgery only took about two hours, but I'm a lightweight so that may have made it less complicated. You will love not having a band any more.

I was revised from band to the DS. I had lots of scar tissue from several surgeries the surgeon had to deal with so my surgery took 4 1/2 hours.

My surgery was 6 hours.  I too had a lot of scar tissue and my surgeon said he was going to take his time as to not put me in harms way.

My revision from band to DS took almost 8 hours. I had my band in just shy of 11 years and I had massive scar tissue. My band and stomach had grown onto my liver and it had its own vascular system. I only had one fill so of was not because I had a tight band. There were more things wrong but I can't remember what they were. My surgeon said on a scale of 1-10 mine had a difficulty level of 9. Love my DS. Would do it over in a heartbeat.
