Thanks for your reply!! I had mostly read people were eating only "ounces" of  food and I didn't know what to expect! It's glad to know that afterwards (at goal) that you can eat normal foods at times! Have you gained any weight back?? And how is the vitamin regime going?? Those are my two biggest worries!!

If you want to see what DS folks eat, stop by Major Mom's daily post - Bites & Vites. Even 4 yrs out, I sometimes get bored of the same old stuff  and reading what others eat will inspire me.

6 months out and I eat pretty much any cut of meat. I just finished some broiled chicken thighs. If your chicken comes out dry try and stick with the dark meat. I have some pork chops thawing for tomorrow. I still don't have very much room for anything besides protein. Todays dinner was 7 oz chicken with a small portion of carrots and sour cream. Egg salad and tuna salad work well for me. I'm a happy guy when I add mayo and relish. Pan fried steaks work well but You have to watch or it gets too dry.

I mostly do crackers and cream cheese for snacks. That is the big part of my carbs for a day.

I snack on turkey sticks ( I like them better than beef ). I start the day with a protein shake and usually have cottage cheese and greek yogurt throughout the day.

Crock pot recipes are good if things come out too dry. I have a no crust quiche recipe I have wanted to try but I have to look up the recipe again since I lost it in a computer crash.

More vits for DS'ers.  I have a month long organizer with 4 compartments per day (Medcentre) and I fill that once a month.
