How was the pain? Are you tolerating vitamins well?

I had my DS with Doc G in May of this year. He's compassionate and will answer any question you have. My surgery went off without a hitch. I was 282 and am now 227, which means I've lost 50% of my excess weight! assuming my goal is 170. I was in the hospital for 5 days and came home with I think 5 days worth of pain meds. The pain was manageable and less than I expected, but still no picnic. I am very happy now. I had very low energy the first 3 months and a UTI. I have had troubled taking the vitalafy vitamins, there are so many. I'm changing my vits soon and reducing them a little. Doc G will redo my labs on Dec 1 and we will adjust the vits then. I am 46 and feel younger and sexier and confident about my appearance.  I'm enjoying dresses and jewelry and clothes. I don't cringe anymore, when I look in the mirror. Lots of changes and I'm soon very happy so far.

Good morning Jersey housewife,
Thank you for responding and thank you for your honesty. I have an appointment for a consultation and prayerfully he will find me a good candidate for the DS.

Like with anything else always a good idea to interview a few physicians. (There are DS surgeons in NY & PA as well.) Whomever you choose a good tip I wish I had done myself. Is some surgeons present you with a list of risks and complications a day before surgery for you to sign (legal protection for them). I would ask for a copy of this list during one of my initial consultations so you have time to look it over, do your research and come back with questions. Good luck with your search! : )
