update from my post a couple of weeks ago regarding severe diarrhea
This site is truly amazing with the supportt and feedback that we get here. Not to mention a WEALTH of KNOWLEDGE!
So i posted that i had on-going diarrhea for over 5 months that was chronic. I was having accidents in the bed when sleeping and was totally humiliated and humbled. I started probiotics and took a round of flagyl. Started eating better and had been totally off of sugar, white flower and fried foods for over 30 days and nothing helped. I was feeling so hopeless and scared. I finally went to a GI specialist and he asked a simple question that i felt so silly and stupid about but nobody suggested my taking this and I never thought to take anything over the counter as it was so SEVERE that I thought i needed something really strong. Well, he said to take immodium and i have been for a week and TOTALLY BETTER! Miracle drug! I am still having a colonoscopy this Monday UGH as obviously there was/is something going on that started this mess. But i am SO GLAD I have some relief right now.... What a difference a PILL makes!!!!!!!

I work with animals and when they get diarrhea (can be deadly in baby kittens) we give them a heaping spoonful of canned plain pumpkin. It's got lots of fiber. It works like a charm most of the time. Just a thought that it probably would help people as well. I'm glad you are doing better. Your experience, although embarrassing, is bound to help others. That's why we have this forum. I keep all of these helpful tidbits in my back pocket for when I experience problems or other DSers I know do. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted.
Cheers,
Cathy
I use pumpkin for puppies and momma.
Chia seeds are amazing too, always helps to firm me up.
