Post Op Diet?
I don't have a link but I'm at week 6 with the sleeve and doing soft foods. My Dr has me doing the soft foods from weeks 4-12. But here is what I've been doing:
Ground Beef with marinara sauce, I could eat the pasta but opted out. Grilled shrimp, shredded chicken w/ salsa and refried beans, eggs w/ salsa, chili, pork loin w/ squash, toast w/ PB, protein shakes and if I have all my protein in for the day I have a baked potato for supper w/o the skin.
My sheet basically said any lean meats and fish, low fat dairy products, cooked vegetables except corn and peas, any fruit w/o seeds (I like to use the no sugar added canned fruit), low sugar juices and NO sugar, cereals, caffeine, breads except toast, gum, fried foods and high fat foods. Also chicken and beans might be a little harder to digest at first to wait a little while before trying them.
I went out with my friends for the first time this past weekend since surgery and we went to Red Lobster. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Coctkail and I was in heaven. I ate 3 and took 5 home, that was lunch and supper the next day. Never thought I'd get 3 meals out of an appetizer. LOL
lol I love cider too but you probably need to wait until next Fall. Keep the fruits, ciders, sauces, etc. to a minimum until you reach goal and then be very careful.
