I fill 4 oz half and half or heavy cream with sugar free davinci syrup (to taste) and put 1 scoop of unflavored wp isolate. Sometime I'll add a bit more liquid and another half or full scoop. I blend that up to a slurry and use it as creamer in my cup or cups of coffee, depending on my tastes. The key is to blend the protein with a cold liquid first and then incorporate into a hot beverage. I've even done a protein chai latte. They really do taste like fancy coffee shop drinks. The sky is the limit with unflavored.

I use ISO Sensation 93.  I like the choco fudge flavor - which is more cocoa than sugary.  I found this after several, several taste tests of all the other brands.  ISO 93 is a quality whey isolate powder.  It also has an unflavored (natural) version, which I use in baking.

I will admit, I’ve never tasted a Vanilla flavor from any manufacturer that I liked.

I have also use eggs as shakes.  1 egg = 6 protein grms.  I make a lot of custard (one batch of custard uses 6 eggs, 6 yokes).  And I've pasteurized them (heated briefly without cooking) and mixed them (5 raw eggs) with heavy cream and flavorings for a great, filling shake.  And dirt cheap.  I try to pick up eggs when they are 1.50 a dozen.

I use optimum nutrition 100% whey. When I mix with water it doesn't come out too sweet. Even the double chocolate. It is moe bland with just some hints of flavor.

I can't remember how far out you are. (If you'll put it on your profile, it'll show up when you post.) How are you with eating read food? Cheese, eggs, nuts, beans, farm animals? Cottage cheese has gobs of protein, and it really tasty with a fresh 'mater and fresh bail, drizzled with olive oil. Eggs can be scrambled, boiled, deviled, made into omlettes (with lots of cheese, sausage, 'maters, etc.)

I just never could tolerate protein shakes, and I didn't die. (*grin*)

When you make changes, especially to your 'signature' or ticker, then wait 48 hours for the changes to take affect.  It's like the software batches every 24 hours.  I learned this when making changes.  I could not see the changes, so I kept making the same changes trying to get it to take, until I realized that I wasn't seeing anything new till the next day or day after that.

Try good protein snacks between meals. I like Kroger's CarbSmart Yogurt and lately I have been making my own beef jerky.
