B: 3 fried eggs
L: protein drink (30)
D: some sweet potato chips in bacon grease
S: double scoop protein (60) - I'm behind
Vits: I'm running behind
exerc: with so much running behind... it's all the exercise I need!
Had an interview for a job today. They said I would work from home - there is no office around here. I live in the mountains already. If I worked from home, I would never leave my house. I would become the Unibomber...
lol Awesome! We could say we knew you when... Boom!
Great job on your Bites. Good luck on the job. Let me know what it is, my son is still applying for everything and getting very few bites...graphic design. {sigh}

Fortunately I went into accounting and got my CPA a couple of years before the great depression. Accounting is a terrible way to make a living, but accountants are needed even if the company is in the red.
I've had 3 interviews in 5 months (people say that is amazing-sad). But I am applying for every job between a Controller and a Senior Accountant. Rule #1: have a flexible resume, and a network of friends to back it up as “professional references”.
It's better now than the last 4 years (I've been looking), but the jobs are not coming back like we had before. I think the job dynamics have changed permanently. The only economic recovery has been companies outsourcing jobs, working current employees to death, and the stock market (companies and the wealthy benefiting).
I’m thinking about starting my own business on the side (job or no job) because 1) that is where the money is being made, and 2) I can’t be laid off. With Obamacare Exchanges starting 1/1/14, I can’t be turned down for health insurance, so I don’t have to get a job to get health benefits. And working on starting my own business, making contacts and going to social events to get the word out – gives an unemployed person something positive to work on while waiting for an interview to come along. Who knows, I might meet someone while pitching my own company that will actually have an open job.
Help your son to start thinking outside the box on this. My heart goes out to him. I see a lot of young, college educated people who are totally disillusioned with this economy.
Miss you too. I read all your posts on Facebook and keep up with you that way. lol
