Does Dr Amy (Olsen) Johnson do the ds in Kentucky?

Never heard of that surgeon. I think there are DS surgeons in TN but none in KY on the "trusted DS surgeons" list. Here is Dr Spaw's info. His partner, Dr Boyce, also does the DS. (I think this is the right practice. Liz, is Boyce with Spaw?)

Thank you, Dr. Spaw will not do revision from lap band is what I was told yesterday. Dr. Houston's office said he does (medicare) but won't do it from lap band would have to  have band removed then he would decide on a case by case. Not sure how to proceed. Don't really want to go with the sleeve, there is a local (new) dr. who is saying go with the sleeve then turn it into a ds later. UUGgggggg

Dr. Boyce is in Knoxville, and his partner is Dr. Williams. Dr. Williams will not do the DS on anyone with a BMI under 50, but Dr. Boyce will. He also will do band to DS revisions. He did mine in June in one surgery.

Boyce and his partner are in Knoxville. I would not even consider Dr. William's (Boyce's partner) but Boyce is a fantastic cutter. He has done both Lapband to DS and RNY to DS revisions (about 155 as of last check in early August).

I do NOT recommend his advice for aftercare as his vitamins are not what we need. I follow Vitalady's (AND MY LABS) advice.

I agree with MajorMom.  If you want to talk to a doc about the DS, those would be the ones to talk to.  Other docs have been known to say "come in, lets talk about options" , and they try to sell you on the VSG, saying you may only need that anyway, or the Distal RNY, touting that it's almost the same thing.  Don't fall for it.  The last thing you need is two surgeries instead of one.  Talk to an expert.  They are NOT the same.

She claims she does on her page on this website, but in over 7 years here and on other DS oriented sites I have never heard of her. I think your best bet is the surgeons others have already mentioned.
