So I Messed Up. ER Last Night.
So I took on two jobs to pay for my bills because I was out of work for so long and I was working almost 70 hours a week. Well, because I was so busy I forgot to eat and drink and at times take my vitamins. I was running on two to three hours of sleep for every two days. I got dehydrated and wound up in the ER last night. My DX was mild dehydration and Exhaustion. I was given IV fluids and sent home with orders to sleep for a day and not go back to wor****il Friday.
I quit my second job. I will just have to find another way to catch up and make it. I will have faith.
On another note my calcium was low at 8.4. So I am increasing my calcium today and adding in some vitamin C and more D.
It is scary how fragile we can be. Follow the rules and we are okay but slip a little and we are not.
Hey you!!! Knock that off!!!
I know what you mean about being behind on the bills and working double shifts to catch up. Try doing a part time second job, where you work 3 or 4 days, but then do the rest of the week with one job.
And what I learned this year - sit down once a month and pack up all your vitamins. I put my day's worth of vits into snack zip lock bags (which I reuse over and over), and put a week's worth in my car or back pack. I always took my vits while in traffic, on lunch break, dinner break, etc. I may not have time or money to eat, but I did get my vits in.
I also bought a package of bottled water for 2 bucks. I wasn't after the water, I'm after the bottles. I refill those bottles from my own filtered water and reuse. When I'm done, I rinse them out with dishwashing soap. After so many uses, I recycle for cash. I do like the G-force drinks because the mouth on those bottles allows me to get a dish washing brush down into it (and I hang on to those bottles for ever). So my car has a pack of full water bottles - again, helping me to take my vits while in traffic.
Also, buy a cheap watch that has a stop watch in it. I used to set my watch to go off every day at 2 hour intervals so I could take my calciums or iron pills (away from other vits).
Get better baby. I would miss your sense of humor if you keeled over.
So glad your fine, "and learned your lesson". Its funny how we can know better to do such things, but every once in awhile you try to make a deal with yourself, on try to get out of what you know is the right thing to be doing. I guess its just part of the journey..... Thanks for sharing. This is the kind of story that people need to hear every once in awhile to remind them of whats on the dark side if your not careful.....
