74lbs down
Take measurements and photos. It will help you see it. If your like me, by the time I had the surgery, I was barely squeezing into my clothes so it did take a while before I changed sizes but then I dropped 3 sizes in the matter of 2 months after that. I also found that my body let go of the fat in different areas at different times - ie. first the face, then the thighs, then the boobs, then my back side, then a bit on the tummy, Then back to the face.... Like peeling an onion.
Hang in there and keep up the good work. Trust me, you will wake up one day and throw on a pair of pants, look in the mirror and say "I can't possibly wear these to work, I look like a clown..."
Keep us posted.
Way to go!! :)

I my DS
I discovered that my fat spots were firm while I was gaining weight before surgery. After surgery, the fat areas became softer (when poked) as fat was burned. So, I could check my progress by how firm the fat was. Even if visually I did not see much change in a few days, by touch I could tell that fat had stopped advancing, and was receding. Then the next step was that these areas shrank as fat was elimninated. So sometimes more is happening than what you first see. Best wishes!
