I feel yah. I'm 4 years out of surgery an this November I started having IBS symptoms. It has made my surgery much more difficult then in the Pryor years. I have gas, constipation an looser stool that comes an go's. I would of said before the IBS to just carry air freshener with your to work, but now I know its not just the smell but the having to fart an finding a place were you can relieve the pressure with out disturbing the people around you. I hope that this IBS gets better with time But the way I have been dealing with it is to know your environment. Is there a window in the bath rooms you frequent, what air freshener seems to work the best an bring it with you, were can I go to relieve the gas pressure yard, driveway, car, bathroom??, what food give me the worst gas an eliminate them out of your diet. An then you got to ask your self would i still have the surgery knowing that I would have these issues an its always: HELL YES I WOULD! The hell I was living in before surgery is nothing compared to being stinky an gassy. Good luck but I think above all be proud of your courage to change your life an don't be ashamed of the new an improved you kiss

Oh how I understand! I am new-ish to the forum - I had DS surgery in Oct 2012 with Dr.Stewart, RIP. It wasn't until I did a few things that changed my BM from several times a day and uber nasty stinky poo to mostly in the mornings (4-7am) with some lingering wafts of noxious gas.

1) Acidophilous pearls. Kroger brand is what I take, about $8 for a 30 day supply.

2) Disolvable fiber

3) Cut back on sweets type of carbs and cheetos. I was being really bad, and this caused me to go on the bowel naughty list. You're probably not doing this, but I did until about 2 months ago and suffered. Or rather, my husband suffered and I was embarrassed.

Good luck in your job hunt and your 'issue'!
