Poopie SItuation
As some of you know I was laid off of work three weeks ago. I have been looking daily. Today, I was offered a job but I could not take it due to my surgery. =(
It is in home continuous care nursing. Which means I would sit in someone's home for 12 hours straight to care for their dying family member. The reason I could not take the job is because of the poopie situation us DSers have to deal with. I would have to use their toilet to Poo a few times within that 12 hours. That is just not professional. It is one thing to go number 1 but to have to do the stinky number 2 that many times...they would call in and complain to the employer which would be humiliating.
SO...because of my surgery I could not take the job. I love my DS but this is the first time I have been saddened by the situation. I will have to find an office or facility job, prolly nights.
Even with eating good and correctly I still have two to three BM's in the morning and one to two at night. No loose but soft. Still DS stinky though. So there is really no way around this situation. SUCKS.
I just wanted to vent a bit.
Your weight loss has been fantastic in spite the recent events. I had been hoping you had found another position and glad you posted an update, although not the one I wanted it to be. I'm sorry you are sad about this situation with the job you were offered but things will get better and the job you are meant to have will come along. Stay positive and use some of the downtime to continue to get healthy.
Thank you for the encouragement. I am definitely praying and trying. I am happy to say that I am losing pretty good at the moment. I am about to be down in the 280s which is awesome. I have not seen the 280s in three years. =)
I really believe there is a reason for everything. I believe good things will eventually happen for me. It is just hard sometimes. Struggling right now but I will eventually make it.
I feel for you.
I took an extensive road trip, and was reminded several times a day how my bowel movements have changed my life. It was a real learning experience for me.
I started cutting down on the fat in my diet, and that helped a lot. I still have the soft fluffy pudding bowel movements, just less of them. It cuts the evening BMs out totally. I think I could work in an office without having a blow out now.
Good luck in your job search. I've been out of work since April. There are more jobs out there than in the last 4 years, so that is good news. You will find a good job soon.

Honestly my poops do not really smell that bad. I rarely eat more than 50 carbs a day. I mean they stink a little more than regular poo but not a paint peeling experience.
I am not sure why I go so much. I had IBS before the surgery. I use to go every morning a couple of times with soft, loose, acid stools.
I think part of my problem is I do not empty completely. It takes time for it all to get out in the morning. SO I have two to three small ones. One first thing in the morning then after I walk a bit an urgent one hits me. Same thing in the evening.
I have not experimented with calcium or iron yet. I am only a couple of months out. I will increase my calcium dosage daily and see where that gets me.
