'big tummy' day

I have been tracking my food lately.  I have been trying to keep my calories around 1000 to 1200 per day.  But today was a 'big tummy' day.  I stopped tracking when I hit 3000 calories.  Too bad I didn't stop eating though.

I can't be the only one the neighbors are afraid of.  I think they might fear for their pets...

Tell me about your 'big tummy' day.

Father's Day was a big tummy day.  I had 2 servings of blackberry cobbler and vanilla ice cream after I'd eaten a 2nd breakfast that morning, 3 protein coffees and a late lunch of BBQ pork, shrimp ****tail, corn on the cob and taco salad.

  Thanks for sharing that.  I've been concerned about the amount of food I can eat lately.  But reading about the grub you can put away makes me feel so much better.  Really.  I'm just happy no one got hurt while you ate everything that wasn't nailed down.

I'm 3 weeks out from DS but would rather forget the many "big tummy" days in the not so distant past leading me to the revision--one fine day I remember stopping counting at 3,500 calories!

Onwards and downwards (weight) :)

Wow, I was just thinking this morning how I get absolutely no joy from eating anymore....but wasn't that the point of WLS?

So, what you're saying is, you do enjoy eating again??????

OMG.  Don't get between me and the buffet.

You go through phases.  You are still fresh from the surgery mode.  Yes, there will come a phase that you graze on all proteins slathered with BBQ sauce, eat a half a pound of bacon for breakfast, and start thinking of very creative ways to fix chicken.  Yes, you will go back to your former love.... 

I still eat about half of what I used to (although yesterday I ate most of a peanut butter bacon cheese burger in one sitting), but I eat about every 2-3 hours.  I am still eating the same amount that I used to, it's just taking me longer to eat it.  I don't eat like this every day - but if I'm in food mode, I can put down a lot of food. 

This is why I knew the DS was the surgery for me.

I love the term "big tummy day"  I had it this week,  never again like before WLS but more, way more than I have the comfortable capacity to hold.  I did not say anything thought I was the only failure again and again,  Did gain 3 lbs overnight, in water weight could not e food as it flew out of me!!! indecision  My feet and hands are swollen ( it was chinese food) Must be a trigger food for me no more take outs or deliveries.  I have found trigger foods need to be eaten out with friends so there ate limits on consumption and availability.  Well today is a new day and throwing off the fear of the three lbs gain,  will be gone by the weekend.  I am walking more and riding my stationary bike daily.

I had my first last Friday. I had a charrita taco salad with queso from El Fenix. Then later that day I had more queso and chips. I hate quite a bit of that salad over the course of an hour and half. 

Also on Saturday I ate Popcorn smothered in movie theater butter. After that I ate at Dickey's. I lost two pounds over the weekend. LOL.

Every now and then- not very often I get a hankering (is that a word?) for a frozen hot chocolate from DQ. I get the small one but I can put the whole thing down in about 1 hour. The next day I will lose 2-3lbs. I've done this 3 times , losing each time. Its a terrible vice but it keeps me from feeling deprived. I too have those big tummy days where I feel like all I do is eat . It seems to happen about once a week but I keep losing and try to always put my protein first. I am always amazed when I weigh myself!! Thanks for sharing. Makes me feel so much more normal.
