Going to Mexicali, MX. for surgery. Should I stay longer than 6 days to be safe?

Im very confident with Dr. Aceves.  He has a Great! reputation,and that is why I am going to him, but Im always a precautious person.  On the other hand, I would love to just come home after the six day stay in the hospital.  I was just wondering what everyones thoughts were on extending my stay to make sure everything is ok before I come home?

on both of my trips to MX,I stayed a few days past my discharge date just to make sure and to make sure i felt more like traveling. i personally was glad i stayed the few extra days.

My husband just had surgery in march in Mexico and we left on day 5. Traveling home was aweful,,,,stay a little longer if you can. Everything was fine it was just so stressful because he was still very weak.  

When my sister and H had surgery in Spain, we stayed for two weeks post-op.

His reputation isn't as good with DS yet, which is why he likes to bring up Dr. Ungson, who's reputation is stellar by comparison. I would plan on staying a little longer, myself.  Finding help at home if you have a problem will be a problem in and of itself.

Dr. Ungson doesnt assist him anymore, you can have him assist for an extra three thousand dollars if you would feel more

comfortable.  I am told that Dr. Ungson says he is fine to do it himself.  Now normally that wouldnt be enough for me, but I

have been researching since Sept 2012, and I know exactly who Im getting , "by reputation".  Ive talked to a few of his DS

patients, and all have long lasting praise for him.  Dr. Aceves normally keeps someone for six days, and I have decided to stay

eleven.  I hope in the end thats enough to make me feel comfortable before returning home......Thank you for all of your
