No Pre-Op Diet

I did not do one with Dr Stewart.  There are those Dr's who do and don't.

I have a friend who did it with a different Dr, has had zero problems.  She had a Lap DS as was mine.  Totally different Dr than Stewart.  She has not had one problem. 

My after thought after having a Virgin DS.  IMHO:

He is opening up the small intestines connecting to the large intestines.  Some foods take longer to digest than others.  You can still have food for awhile trying to go through your system.  So, when he opens it up, where does the food go?  The body cavity, which can cause illness/infection.  I'm not the expert on this.  Seems logical though.

I found it odd as well.  I asked someone in his office about it.  I was told, well, it's the last time you get to eat so enjoy.  Strange answer that it didn't have anything to do with health.
