Awesome Protein Bar

I simply love hearing about new products I can try.  I heard about the Pure Protein Soft Baked Protein Bar in Double Chocolate Vanilla Crunch flavor.  I thought I'd give it a try.  Saw them on sale at the grocery story for $.99.  I've tried PLENTY of different bars, but usually I think they taste like crap, or they have way too many carbs, and I wouldn't repeat the experiment.  But...this thing is freaking incredible.  Delicious, nougaty, I couldn't taste any of the protein taste, chocolatey.  It was just heavenly.  It has 190 calories, 9 net carbs, 17 grams of protein, 8 grams of fat.  I just went and ordered me a box of them on Amazon!!!!  I have a feeling these may be my downfall and I'll have to really watch myself from eating these every day.

Here's a link on Amazon for a variety pack - 12 double chocolate vanilla crunch and 6 double chocolate peanut butter crunch. It's 34.99 and has free shipping

I ordered a 6-pack of the double chocolate vanilla crunch bars for $7.37 - but I can't for the life of me find them on Amazon today either. Weird!!! Ohhhh, I just found it and it says it's out of stock, but you can be emailed when it becomes available (http://www.amazon.com/Pure-Protein-Double-Chocolate-Vanilla/dp/B00BCP267W)

I looked on netrition.com and they have a bunch of different flavors, but not the double chocolate vanilla crunch.

Then on the www.pureprotein.net site, they show them available at 7-11, CVS, FredMeyer, Giant, GMC, HEB, Kroger, Meijer, Publixl, Ralphs, Safeway, Target, Trader Joe's, the Vitamin Shoppe, Walgreens, Walmart and Winn Dixie. They seem to have become VERY popular, so hopefully you can get your hands on some :)

How are they with gas issues?  Pure Protein tends to give me bad gas because of the Malitol in it, but I noticed this only has four or five grams of sugar alcohols, so it might not be so bad.

Pure Protein are my favorite brand also - they all taste like candy bars!  Very gooey and soft with very little protein taste. I don't have problems with gas with these, but the sugar alcohols don't seem to bother me too much in general.  I also like the Think Thin chocolate peanut butter bars; they have more protein taste but are still good and VERY filling.

I'm going to try this one, but Flurry is my go-to bar.  Really tastes like candy, even though before my DS, I was not really a candy-eater.  Once in a while, but ice cream was my downfall.
