Dr JOYA for DS???

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has had the DS done by Dr Joya? Gerald, his coordinator (who is great to work with) told me that the revision price (from lap band (I have a lap band now) to DS) would be $13,000.

I thought that was pretty reasonable.

Any thoughts?

No, I am not aware of anyone ever getting a DS from this doctor, and I have read DS boards since 2009.  With you seeking a revision to the DS, it is even more important that you use an experienced DS surgeon.  I would suggest the list of surgeons at DSfacts.com.  The price you list is below the norm, and I know it bites to pay more, but I would recommend you pay the increase to use Dr. Ungson of Mexico instead of Dr. Joya.  Dr. Ungson is among the lowest in price for a respected, known, experienced DS surgeon.
