I think I have my surgery date!!

My paperwork was turned into Aetna December 17th. I called them today to check on where it was in the process. They said my surgery is scheduled fir dec 19th pending clinicals. Of course the doctors office is closed today so I can't ask them. Do they usually set a date b4 approval? I'm puzzeled and afraid to get to excited.

If the insurance told you your surgery date then I would take heart. Triple check though. What did they mean "pending clinicals? I also just noticed you said it's scheduled for Dec. 19th is that 12/19/13 or a mistype?

Hi Jariat. No, it's this Dec. However they said pending clinicals. I am on another DS boatd too and someone told me it may b a dummy date my surgeon set up. I guess I'll have to b patient till Wednesday when office open and fine out about the date and what pending clinicals mean. I should know better than to get so excited.

But it's December 19th, 2012 then you missed your surgery date lol because it's already 12/24/12. Maybe you are having it next week and that was just a random date. Good luck though

You posted it after the 19th so it can't be scheduled for the 19th of this December.

When my doctor submitted my paperwork, they just used any date. It had to be included in the submission. But, that isn't my actual surgery date.

Ditto MrsRD.  Mine insurance date was a window -- good for 30 or 60 days from the date.  Talk to your insurance or surgeon for the full scoop!  --Sharon

Thanks Sharon, I'll call surgeon tomorrow and will post what I find out. Gosh I'd rather it be goo news. Merry Christmas to all! It is snowing in Texas!
