Significant weight fluctuation
I had my surgery 2 and a half years ago now and i find my weight fluctuating quite a lot, This week i have been consistently weighing in at around 270lb whereas the week before i was varying around 250lb. I know i swell up because of my albumin levels and being bloated or it being that time of the month, all of which seem to have been contributing factors, however this seems an extreme amount to be varying by and wondered if this was just normal or if i should go and see my g.p. It is rather disheartening since I'm still quite a way off goal and this isn't helping.
I agree that a 20 lb gain is quite significant. I would take a serious look at what you're eating day to day, and start looking at your simple carb consumption,. because its so easy to eat that far down the road, and we get a little relaxed this far out. The bloatedness could also be dairy, including whey protein, beans, onions, etc.

Sorry you are disheartened. Go see your GP. Possibly just taking some action to discover the problem could be heartening. Guessing there are other health problems you have since you mentioned albumin levels and bloating. Maybe time to get kidneys checked? Some medical type here might know better, but what you describe does not seem like a normal weight fluctuation.
