I have been using blender bottles to make my shakes and they've started taking on odors. Does anyone know how to remove these odors? I've soaked it in bleach overnight, soaked it in dishwater over night it temporarily goes but always returns. Do they have glass blender bottles? Despite what Mr. Robinson told Ben Braddock, Plastic sucks...!!!

Figured it out already, gonna but some large mason jars and use them. Woulda used jelly jars but can't seal them right.

Glad you figured it out.

Yeap plastic takes on odors...heck even water bottles used too often and just filled with more water will take on odors after a time.

I have some I rotate between, bleaching them every so often and then letting them air dry.

But eventually they have to be replaced.

oh, yeah, there is nothing funkier than stale protein  left in a plastic bottle...it happened a couple times and Whoa, gag.  If you want to use plastic, I suggest you get several to rotate, send them through the dishwasher and leave them open to air.  the glass mason jar is a good idea, though.

i carry a travel mug with me every where.  protein shakes, coffee, tea, water, etc.  yup they do get funky.  my recipe for a fresh smelling mug is to wash then dump in some baking soda.  it's ok if the mug is still wet inside.

next day dump out baking soda, wash and voila, nice fresh smelling mug.  it also gets rid of coffee stains too.
