Protein Powders
Unfortunately, my favorite as far as flavor is Champion Whey Stack chocolate. It is not the highest quality protein though. I do not like any of the isolate ones that I have tried and I have tried many-way too sweet. I have tried putting bakers coco in it to cut the sweetness, but it does not turn out that great. I can gag down some Syntrax nectar roadside lemonade sometimes. My tastes have really changed after surgery.
Sorry for the hijack here but you like chocolate flavor with your coffee? I've thought about using that and seeing but didn't know if the flavors would gel right. I currently use, and like minus the high price, the IDS Multi-Pro Whey in Cinnamon & Vanilla. It's about $75 with shipping for a 5# tub.

I was also a Champion devotee, but after they changed their formula, I couldn't use it anymore - I'm lactose intolerant, and the whole milk powder that is now in it was killing my guts. Soooo....I switched to Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate. It's pretty good (still not as good tasting as Champion, but close). It mixes up well - I mix two scoops with about a half-cup of lactose free milk and a bit of Splenda, then add coffee for a lovely protein coffee). The quality is very good as far as protein and carbs go. Price I've been paying is $53.99 for a 5 lb. tub at GNC. I think it is slightly cheaper some places online, but not much, and I can just run into the store and grab it when I need it instead of worrying about ordering ahead of time and paying shipping (and our GNC is located right behind my work!).

Muscle Milk protein powder is a beneficial powder. A friend of mine had many health issues and her doctor suggested she start drinking Muscle Milk. Over the next month or so she began to see many benefits of drinking this powdered drink from the suggested intake. Not only was she feeling replenished throughout her long day at school, teaching, her health issues no longer began taking over her life. I'm not sure about the taste because I have no personally tried it, but I do know that it worked well for her. Depending on the size you get, the price can vary from 18-35 dollars. It seems to be cheapest at stores like Target and Wal-Mart. I hope this helps!
Unless you are sensitive to whey (in which case, you need either soy or egg protein powder), your first ingredient should be Whey Protein Isolate.
READ labels. I can handle the ones labeled Whey Protein Isolate (as long as I use water or cream NOT MILK, even lactaid) but can NOT handle any that start with "Protein Blend"
I use to be able to drink any of them...ever since my last surgery in March, I have to be super picky as most of them just smell too bad TO ME. My current choice is vanilla flavored Whey Tech protein isolate. It blends extremely easily and to ME, the smell is not offensive.
