Pre-Op Appt is Over ...and let the cutting begin
I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 tomorrow morning. I'm more nervous then I thought I'd be, about so many things!
while at the surgeons this morning they gave me a pamphlet of what I could eat and it had fish and chicken so I was going to have chicken for lunch and then have sashimi for dinner. I have lost 11 pounds after all prepping for the surgery. Then the doc said he wanted me to stay on the liquids. Oh well, I'll be able to eat sashimi in a few months. Right?

Thanks for the well wishes. Don is having lots of problems with the gas in his back. He can't lie down or have any pressure on his back. He's been in a chair since yesterday, sitting in the edge with his head resting in the tray table to rest. Needless to say, he sleeps no more than 10 minutes at a time.
He is walking though and is feeling a bit better today, but he's now exhausted.
He just returned from his leak test and once we receive that result he'll be able to get stronger mess including something for the pain.
He's only in the hospital one more night and I'm sure he'll feel much better on e he's home.
