I've had one for years and it works well.  Good jerky isn't hard at all.

 

Just remember is needs to be refrigerated or frozen for storage because you aren't using chemical preservatives.

thank you any recipes you care to share.  Plus what size do you have as I am trying to make a decision between the 5 and 9 drawer.  Any input would be welcomed.
