Need a new date, probably

My wife got sick about 10-12 days ago, I thought I was going to escape unscathed, HA! The day before Thanksgiving I started getting a sore throat, she finally went to the doctor that day and was diagnosed with strep throat. Since I had symptoms the doctor went ahead and gave me the same antibiotics. My wife's family is here from Mi. but we didn't do anything on Thanksgiving day. Anyway, today my parents are coming over and I'm going to deep fry a turkey today for our Thanksgiving dinner.

My wifes throat is very bad with pockets of pus on her tonsils. My throat is more red then hers but I don't have the pus blisters. Maybe because I got on the antibiotics earlier in the sickness then she did. Anyway, my surgery is scheduled for this upcoming Thursday, 11/29. I bet I'm going to be delayed a minimum of 1 week and probably 2-3 if this lasts as long as my wife's has. This throws off our whole schedule because my wifes VSG surgery was set for mid-Dec.

If you're on antibiotics, you may be perfectly fine by then.  Call the surgeon Monday and see what they say.  They may prescribe something stronger to ensure you've kicked it by Thursday.

Are you still planing on using Ferrari?  Then yes, I think you DO need a new surgery date, so you'll have more time to think this over.

If you know something that's verifiable and can be documented I think you have a responsibility to say what you know. Tell me, what is it exactly that you think you know or are you just trying to start an argument? Since you are completely off topic and obviously have nothing positive to add to this thread, I'd like to politely ask that you not waste my time or the time of anyone else that could benefit from the help provided by every other person that actually contributed something useful.

If you want to start your own thread about some complaint or opinion you have, your more than welcome too and I'll be more than happy to stay on topic and reply to your posts.

I got quite sick the week before my scheduled surgery date. My surgeon said if my lungs were clear and I had no fever, he would let me continue. I did not have to postpone. I did take a lot of Chewable Airborne to increase my zinc, echinacea, and vitamin C to boost my immune system (and I put my whole family on the Airborne, too). I know how frustrating it is to get to this point and then think you might be denied. I really hope you can keep your original date.

So long as my lungs were fine I was able to have surgery.  They were concerned about pneumonia and cleared me before my failed lap band did not have a problem with my ds.  Call your doc.
