I wish I had patience...insurance wait;<
Hi all, Just needed to vent a little. I wish I had more patience with this insurance wait. Everything is in. All reports, labs, etc. I called the insurance BCBS fep and everything has been submitted last Friday. Now it is the wait. I just keep praying that there will be no complications with an approval. I have read through many posts about how people wait...some get approved within 24 hours...some it takes weeks....others have so many loop holes to get through. I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving;) I thank God for this board. I am getting a buddy list going and it helps me so much to know that you guys are here for me;) and going through all of the same issues.
Mine was submitted to BCBS last Monday and I kept calling and calling on Friday to check the status of it since they had told me it'd be Friday or Monday at the latest for the decision. Finally Monday afternoon I received my approval.
I hope yours goes a bit faster but don't hesitate to keep calling them. I did all day on Friday and Monday. Good luck!
I feel your pain. Thought after the pulmonary doctor I would only have one more neutritionist visit to go to but now have to have a sleep study and then a follow up on Dec 18th before they will clear me. I was hoping to get an answer before Christmas but it is looking more like New Years. Also anybody that knows me knows I have no patients on some things, ( I already have my Christmas gift from Hubby, have a vacation booked in July for daughters birthday and it is killing me not to tell her about it) But then I take a deep breath and say it will get done some how some way I can't change what other people have to do but try not to think about it all the time. I have BCBS and they told me approval could be 3-5 days so it gives me something to look foward to. But after I know the office sends in the paper work I will probably be a basket case hoping they approve it. :) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Thanks for the replies;) I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I called BCBS and I have an approval...just have to send it back to the doc. So here is he deal.......no surgery date until after the first of the year which means everything has to be re submitted to insurance for the new year.....unreal.
I am trying to be positive about this. The other surgeon who stands in with my doc is going on vacation from mid Dec to after the 1st of Jan. Anyways, what is good about it is the hubby is getting his flex spend which will help with my co pay and other fees. So, ((SIGH)), looks like 2013 will be my year... I am learning the virtue of patience.
