Okay, crazy question
thanks!
It's a crapshoot really. % of average weight loss is an average for a reason. Some lose more/too much, and some don't make it to goal. It's not all about compliance, or stomach or cc lengths either. There are many things that factor in for each individual. There is really no way to predict that you won't lose all your weight and possibly then some. That said, it is probably easier to not lose weight than to lose too much and I'd say that happens more than not. The heavier you are, the less likely you are to get too thin.
Also, most MO/SMO folks have sagging skin. Even if they don't lose to goal. Don't set yourself up for unrealistic expectations in any regard. The most important part of this journey, that we all forget from time to time, is health, not looks. Let that be your focus. You can't control the rest.

There is no way to predict or prevent the loose skin issue. If it's gonna happen - then it's gonna happen.
When I reached my goal, I started increasing the amount of carbs I ate to slow down my loss, and it worked like a charm. Some need digestive enzymes to help them slow down, but its usually not too difficult. Let the surgeon do their thing and start that piggy bank for plastics. If you're lucky, lycra is all you need to put off the perfect illusion until time and money come together (still waiting for that to happen for me)

I think it if your BMI is high you will more than likely deal with excess skin however I agree with the person who said to focus on health not looks. After the wt loss then you can address the skin as I think this is a work in progress. I am 156 and with the help of this board tweaking my intake to lower my carbs I hope to get to my goal wt. Point being I am less then a year out and I am constantly on here reading and adjusting what I am doing. As I am always learning something new about my DS and how it works for me at a given time you will also forever be leaning and adjusting your life if you follow through with the surgery.
I wish you a healthy life regardless of what you decide.
