Heartburn

For the past week and a half or so, I've had heartburn daily. Sometimes an OTC acid reducer pill helps; sometimes a liquid antacid helps. Before surgery I was diagnosed with reflux, even though I only had heartburn a couple times a month. I've never been on any prescriptions for heartburn.
Has this been a problem for anyone else? I'm not quite 3 weeks post-op.

Didn't you get prescribed for Nexium?  You should be taking something for 6 mos post op.  You may get relief from Prilosec OTC.  Start taking it right away,.

This is extremely common post-op. Try the prilosec, and if that doesn't work, try a different PPI. Keep trying til something works. There is no reason for you to suffer with this when effective treatments are available.
