I haven't heard of Dr Scott. Do you know how long he/she has been doing the DS or who he may have studied with to learn the DS procedure?

I never heard of him either.  He may be new at it, or try to talk you into something else like RNY instead (don't fall for it, btw)

7 years on this forum, and I've never heard of him OR that practice. I would suggest you check the list of DS surgeons at dsfacts.com. Granted it could be more up to date, but it's pretty good.

Most bariatric surgeons don't do the DS. You will probably need to travel. It will be worth the effort.

If you insist on using this doctor in Missouri please ask them to submit their credentials to dsfacts.com for inclusion in their list of surgeons. If they will not then be leery. No matter what though, ask plenty of questions.
