Revision vs virgin DS
Hi! I've been lurking around here for years (had RNY in 2009 and revised to DS on 09/05/12) Reading peoples post about how much weight they have lost in the first 3 months of having DS is incredible, but I don't seem to be experiencing the same rapid loss! I started out on my surgery date at 252 lbs and right now (10 weeks later) I'm at 216 and seem to be at the same 216 for the past 3 weeks!! It's frustrating me because I feel like I should be losing a lot more, but I keep reading not to compare with other weight loss. I am just waiting to go in for my 3 month follow up on December 3rd... ANYWAY, do you get a more dramatic weight loss in the first months when you have a virgin DS vs when you get revised from RNY to DS? I think I just needed to vent my frustration or hear something encouraging!
Thanks! I keep trying to keep perspective on it! I am now only 4 lbs more than my lowest weight after RNY and it's only been 10 weeks! I just need to practice patience, not my strongest suit!! :)
Thanks guys!! I really did need to hear this!! I should have started posting here and interacting with everyone A LONG TIME AGO!!

Im struggling with the same thing, but still trying to think positive. i had my lapband in 2008 and had my DS 10/25/2012 i have'nt experienced much weight loss either. i heard that the first 3 months will be full of stalls and plateaus. i only lost 6lbs since my surgery so i dont know whats going on. im being patient as well. ill be having my second follow up next week so ill be getting some answers . it seems like your doing great though.
