Veterans Day and weight gain/loss

My 2 older brothers served in the Vietnam War.  Only one came home.  It was when we lost Bobby that I began to gain weight.  In a convoluted way, it feels redeeming to have finally gotten the weight off for good with the DS.  Thank you Bert for serving our country.  Bobby, I miss you every day .

WWII ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month - which is why, as a nation, we set aside November 11 as THE ONE DAY OF THE ENTIRE YEAR to honor our veterans.  It is offensive that today's Google Doodle did not even acknowledge that it is Veterans Day.  Does anyone know how to lodge a complaint about that?

Google did their salute yesterday.  Probably because today is the day off but Veteran's Day was actually yesterday.
